Margot Murphy, President of the Woman’s Club of Raleigh, an organization founded in 1904, announced that breast cancer related initiatives will be the primary focus for the Woman’s Club of Raleigh during the 2 years under her leadership. “We will be wholeheartedly supporting the work of Pretty In Pink Foundation, a nonprofit organization that helps underinsured and uninsured people diagnosed with breast cancer. Their work in communities across North Carolina is impressive and we are eager to help in their growth efforts.”
Dr. Lisa Tolnitch, a local breast cancer surgeon who saw many breast cancer patients struggling to pay the costs associated with fighting cancer, decided to do something about it; and Pretty In Pink Foundation was formed. “To date, Pretty In Pink foundation has served a variety of health and quality of life needs for nearly 300 women in North Carolina; women whose lives have been turned upside down by this devastating disease."
