Artists of the Month: There will be two Artists of the Month for September, 2008: Brooke Bullock, who will display her pottery, and Katie Bryant, a Graphic Design Artist. Both are recent graduates of Meredith College. Katie’s Senior Art Exhibition was held in April and May, 2007 at the Frankie G. Weems Art Gallery at Meredith. At the 2007 and the 2006 Annual Student Juried Exhibitions at Meredith, Katie’s art won “Best in Show”. Her art work was entered in the 2006 Southern Women’s Colleges Student Exhibition at Bennett College in Greensboro. Katie served as the Art Director for Meredith’s yearbook, Oak Leaves. She has been the commissioned artist for several Triangle food/bar establishments creating drink/ menu boards and signs. Katie is the granddaughter of our member, Juanita Bryant.
The object shall be the intellectual, philanthropic, social and civic betterment of the community.
