The International Affairs Department supports international service agencies, sponsors education on world issues, and provides opportunities to host foreign visitors.
In 1977 our club assembled and distributed informational materials to new international students
During 1998-1999, we made dolls for Operation Smile, collected eyeglasses for the Ukraine, and books for Ghana and Mongolia.
We partnered with the Governor's Office in 2001-2002 to assist the North Carolina Hispanic Community. This produced a Spanish language emergency preparedness tape, the "Vaccinations for Everyone" video, and a Spanish Translation of the Germ Patrol, a book on immunizations.
IN 2004, the department provided support for the Heifer Program, an international program to assist women in poverty stricken communities to be come more self sufficient.
